About Us

Pack 55 is chartered by the Brookfield Jaycees and provides scouting opportunities for all children in grades K-5 in the Brookfield, Wisconsin.  We primarialy server students that attend Brookfield Elementary School (2530 N Brookfield Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045).  Our Pack is open to any grade level and scouts can join at any time of the year, but recruiting is typically done in the fall at the start of the school year.  This is a family centered, parent/volunteer run program that combines fun with educational activities that teach lifelong values, family and community involvement, and one of a kind activities.

Pack Meeting are typically held once a month throughout the school year, with additional Den activites and weekend events throughout the year.  Typical Events include:

  • Pinewood Derby / Rain Gutter Regatta - build and race a model car, boat with your child. Pack 55 typically conducts both of these races every year.
  • Blue and Gold Banquet - The Cub Scout Birthday celebration for all Pack members and their families. This usually takes place in February or March.
  • Camping - There are many opportunities to introduce youth and family to camping activities. The vast activities include: crafts, archery, games, bb-guns, swimming, sports, campfires, songs and skits in the Spring, Summer and Fall
  • Service Projects - Our Pack typically participates in the annual Scouting for Food drive, parades, conservation projects and other community activities.
  • Field Trips and Special Outings - Scouts learn about the people, landmarks and businesses in their community.
  • Sporting Events - Anually we choose several local sports events including Milwaukee Brewers, Wave or Admirals games to attend as well as single events like tours of Lambeau Field, or the Harlem Globtrotters new years event to attend as a Pack.
  • Webelos Resident Camp - Held in August for 4th and 5th graders at Camp Long Lake, in Dundee, WI, 20 minutes north of West Bend. Cub Scouts get to participate in Scouts BSA level activities and experience the next level (Boy Scout) camp experience.


Council records show Pack 55 was originally chartered as a cub scout pack with the Potowatomi area council in September 1955 making it one of the oldest Cub scout packs in southeastern Wisconsin.
