2017-2018 Camping Events
As part of Pack 55's goal to keep the "OUT" in SCOUTING, its time to sign up for CAMPING! This year we have a number of choices, some new, some you may be familiar with. I'll include a small blurb on each, but please see the attachment with a chart (updated) I created to help with comparison. Swamp Fox is the only one with a maximum capacity that we're likely to hit, and I HIGHLY recommend dropping off registration for that one to my house before the March Pack meeting to make sure you get in.

Here is a summary of camping opportunities, see the attachment for more details. Complete Registration forms and turn in with payment to Rachel at her home.

More information: This is a great family event, lots of fun, and a good easy tent camping opportunity (Jack has been going since he was 2!). Everyone rotates through 8 different activities (eg BB gun, Archery) Saturday, there's a big campfire/skit on Saturday night, and always lots of football/frisbee/baseball tossing going on during our free time. Siblings may participate in all rotations (except the wood project).

More Information: Great camping opportunity close to home where boys can earn elective adventures toward next year's rank, or this year's if necessary. Set up your tent on Saturday morning, have a fun filled day earning elective Adventures, cooking, eating doing skits, playing games, (fishing?), and having fun! FYI - Rachel's son Alex is part of this Troop and she's helping run the event. See attached flyer, and comments from the Troop 23 scoutmaster, Lee Tan, below:

3.  Webelos Resident Camp (Updated for 2017)
Location: Camp Long Lake, Dundee, WI

More Information:  Great opportunity for Webelos to earn 3 Adventures and start experiencing some camping independence.  They stay in their own tents with another scout, choose what they want to do during their free time (boating, fishing, swimming, etc), and Web IIs have the opportunity to spend one night at an outpost.
NOTE:  the adventures listed, are not confirmed. I've been told they will not be the same as the ones last year (even though those are the ones listed), allowing the boys who attended last year to have something to earn.
